🍕 Pizza Pockets
These **Pizza Pockets** are a fun, cheesy, and delicious handheld snack — just like mini calzones! Made with pizza dough, filled with gooey mozzarella, pepperoni, and marinara sauce, then baked or air-fried to golden perfection. Perfect for lunchboxes, after-school snacks, or game-day appetizers.
Ingredients
- Dough: 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough or biscuit dough
- Filling: 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices (or chopped)
- 1/3 cup pizza or marinara sauce
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Finishing: 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare filling: In a bowl, mix mozzarella, pepperoni, pizza sauce, oregano, and garlic powder.
- Roll dough: If using pizza dough, divide into 8–10 balls. Roll each into a 5-inch circle.
- Fill: Place 1–2 tbsp filling in the center of each circle. Fold over and crimp edges with a fork to seal tightly.
- Bake 14–18 minutes until golden brown. (For air fryer: 370°F for 8–10 min)
- Finish: Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley.
- Serve warm! Great with extra marinara for dipping.
Tip: Use crescent roll dough for a softer, flakier crust. You can also customize the filling with cooked sausage, mushrooms, or bacon!
