Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Add chicken and toss to coat. Marinate 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours in the fridge).
  2. Prep skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak in water for 20+ minutes to prevent burning.
  3. Thread skewers: Alternate chicken, pineapple, bell pepper, and onion on each skewer.
  4. Grill or broil: Grill over medium-high heat 3–4 minutes per side, basting with leftover marinade in the first few minutes (discard used marinade). Or broil 4–5 inches from heat, flipping once.
  5. Serve hot: Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve with rice, salad, or grilled veggies.

Tip: For extra flavor, grill the skewers on a cedar plank. You can also bake them at 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes if preferred!
