Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Add chicken and toss to coat. Marinate for 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours in the fridge).
  2. Prep skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20+ minutes to prevent burning.
  3. Thread skewers: Alternate threading chicken, pineapple, bell pepper, and onion pieces onto each skewer.
  4. Grill or broil: Grill over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side, basting with leftover marinade during the first few minutes (discard used marinade afterwards). Alternatively, broil 4–5 inches from the heat source, flipping once.
  5. Serve hot: Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve alongside rice, a salad, or grilled vegetables.

Tip: For extra flavor, grill the skewers on a cedar plank. You can also bake them at 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes if preferred!
