🐾 Peanut Butter Dog Treats
These **Peanut Butter Dog Treats** are a simple, wholesome, and delicious homemade snack your furry friend will adore! Made with just a few pet-safe ingredients, they're perfect for training, rewarding good behavior, or just spoiling your pup with a healthy treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup natural peanut butter (unsalted, no xylitol!)
- 1 large egg
- 2 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats (or oat flour)
- 1/4 cup water (as needed)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a bowl, stir together peanut butter and egg until smooth.
- Add oats: Gradually mix in oats until a stiff dough forms. Add water 1 tbsp at a time if needed to bring it together.
- Roll & cut: Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into small shapes (bones, hearts, or use a glass to cut circles).
- Bake 18–22 minutes until golden and firm.
- Cool completely before giving to your dog.
- Store: Keep in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.
⚠️ Important: Always use peanut butter that does NOT contain xylitol — it's toxic to dogs. Look for brands with just peanuts (and maybe salt).
