🐶 Peanut Butter Cookies for Dogs
These **Peanut Butter Cookies for Dogs** are a simple, healthy, and safe homemade treat your pup will go crazy for! Made with just a few dog-friendly ingredients, they're perfect for training, birthdays, or just showing your furry friend some love.
Ingredients
- 1 cup natural peanut butter (unsalted, no xylitol!)
- 1 large egg
- 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for gluten-free)
- 1/4 cup water (as needed)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a bowl, combine peanut butter and egg. Stir until smooth.
- Add flour: Gradually mix in flour until a stiff dough forms. Add water 1 tbsp at a time if needed to bring it together.
- Roll & cut: Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into fun shapes (bones, hearts, paw prints) or use a glass to make circles.
- Bake 18–22 minutes until golden and firm.
- Cool completely before giving to your dog.
- Store: Keep in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.
⚠️ Important: Always use peanut butter that does NOT contain xylitol — it's toxic to dogs. Look for "natural" brands with just peanuts (and maybe salt).
