  2. Dry mix: In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter & sugars: In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 min).
  4. Add eggs & vanilla: Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  5. Combine: Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop & bake: Drop 2-tbsp scoops 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
  8. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers are soft.
  9. Cool 5 minutes on sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.
