Easy Mexican Pizza

Have you ever craved Mexican Pizza but didn't feel like leaving the house? You're in luck because this recipe will satisfy your taste buds and save you a trip. The crispy flatbread, layers of seasoned beef, beans, and melty cheese, topped with fresh tomatoes and green onions – it's a flavor explosion in every bite. Plus, making it at home means you can customize it to your liking and control the quality of ingredients. I remember the first time I tried Mexican Pizza. I was on a road trip with my friends, and we stopped at a rest stop for a quick bite. I had never tried it before, but my friends raved about it, so I decided to give it a try. From the first bite, I was hooked. It was savory, crunchy, and delicious. It became our go-to order every time we stopped at a Taco Bell. Now, years later, I love recreating it in the comfort of my own home. If you have tried this recipe before, please leave a comment below. Also give the following a try Chicago Deep Dish Pizza

Ingredients

8 small flour tortillas
1 pound ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1 can refried beans
1/2 cup water
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup diced tomatoes
Chopped green onions to taste

Optional:
Jalapeno slices

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning and water to the pan and let simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Mix refried beans in a separate bowl with water, so they are easier to spread.
4. On a baking sheet, place four tortillas and spread a layer of refried beans on each. Add a layer of seasoned ground beef and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
5. Place the other four tortillas on top like a sandwich and spread another layer of refried beans and cheese on top.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Once done, remove from the oven and sprinkle diced tomatoes and green onions on top.
8. Cut into slices and serve immediately. Enjoy!
