Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken, diced or shredded
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup diced carrots
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or 2-quart casserole dish.
- Layer ingredients: In the dish, evenly spread cooked chicken, peas, carrots, onion, and celery.
- Dry mix: In a bowl, whisk together flour, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Add wet ingredients: Stir in milk and oil/butter until smooth (no lumps).
- Pour over: Carefully pour the mixture over the chicken and vegetables. Do not stir.
