  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Make batter: In a bowl, mix cake mix, oil, eggs, and water until smooth.
  3. Make cinnamon swirl: In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Stir in chopped pecans if using.
  4. Layer: Pour 1/2 of the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Repeat layers: batter, then cinnamon-sugar.
  5. Swirl (optional): Use a knife to gently swirl the layers for a marbled effect.
  6. Bake 45–50 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. Glaze (if using): Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over cooled bread.
  9. Slice and serve! Store covered at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Tip: For extra donut flavor, add 1/2 tsp nutmeg or a splash of maple extract to the batter. Reheat slices in the microwave for 15 seconds for a warm treat!
