🍩 Donut Cinnamon Bread
This **Donut Cinnamon Bread** is soft, sweet, and bursting with cinnamon-sugar flavor — just like your favorite bakery donut, but in loaf form! Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a sweet treat with coffee.
Ingredients
- 1 (18.25 oz) box yellow cake mix
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Glaze (Optional)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk or cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Make batter: In a bowl, mix cake mix, oil, eggs, and water until smooth.
- Make cinnamon swirl: In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Stir in chopped pecans if using.
- Layer: Pour 1/2 of the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Repeat layers: batter, then cinnamon-sugar.
- Swirl (optional): Use a knife to gently swirl the layers for a marbled effect.
- Bake 45–50 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Glaze (if using): Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over cooled bread.
- Slice and serve! Store covered at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Tip: For extra donut flavor, add 1/2 tsp nutmeg or a splash of maple extract to the batter. Reheat slices in the microwave for 15 seconds for a warm treat!
