🧁 Cinna Bun Cake
This **Cinna Bun Cake** is a sweet, gooey, and easy dessert that tastes just like a giant cinnamon roll — a soft vanilla cake swirled with cinnamon sugar and topped with a creamy glaze. Made with simple ingredients and ready in under an hour!
Ingredients
- 1 (18.25 oz) box yellow cake mix
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1/3 cup water
- 2 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 3 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped apples (optional)
Cream Cheese Glaze
- 4 oz (1/2 block) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Make cake batter: In a bowl, mix cake mix, oil, eggs, and water until smooth.
- Make filling: In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir in nuts, raisins, and apples if using.
- Layer: Pour 1/2 of the cake batter into the pan and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle: Cover with 1/2 of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Repeat: Pour remaining batter over the top, then sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mix.
- Bake 30–35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Make glaze: Beat cream cheese, butter, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and milk until creamy.
- Frost: Spread glaze over the warm cake.
- Serve: Slice and enjoy — perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert!
