🍫 Chocolate Mousse Brownies
Chocolate Mousse Brownies are a chocolate lover’s dream: a rich, fudgy brownie base layered with a light, airy chocolate mousse. This decadent dessert is surprisingly easy to make and perfect for parties, holidays, or curing a serious chocolate craving!
Ingredients
Brownie Base
- 4 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
- ¼ cup salted butter
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1½ cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, room temp
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
Chocolate Mousse
- 4 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- ¼ cup + 1 tbsp whole milk
- 1¼ cups cold heavy cream
- Chocolate syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 9×9" pan with parchment.
- Melt chocolate + butter; stir in oil. Whisk in sugar, then eggs + vanilla.
- Fold in flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt. Bake 22–25 min. Cool completely.
- Melt chocolate, marshmallows, milk. Cool to room temp.
- Whip cream to soft peaks. Fold in chocolate mixture to stiff peaks.
- Spread over brownies. Chill 2+ hours. Slice & serve.
