🍫 Brownie Bread
This **Brownie Bread** is rich, fudgy, and intensely chocolatey — like a cross between a brownie and banana bread. Easy to make, moist, and perfect for satisfying any chocolate craving!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add dry ingredients: Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined — do not overmix.
- Fold in extras: Stir in chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
- Pour into pan: Transfer batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake 50–55 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Cool 15 minutes in the pan, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Slice and serve — delicious plain or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
Tip: For extra richness, add a tablespoon of espresso powder or a splash of coffee to enhance the chocolate flavor!
