🍌 Banana Bread
This **Banana Bread** is moist, flavorful, and perfectly sweet — made with overripe bananas, warm spices, and a golden crust. A classic quick bread that's perfect for breakfast, snacks, or sharing with friends!
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 1/4 cups)
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, mash bananas. Stir in melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients: Mix in baking soda and salt. Gently fold in flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Add extras: Stir in cinnamon, nuts, or chocolate chips if using.
- Pour into pan: Transfer batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake 55–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool 10 minutes in the pan, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Slice and serve — great with butter or cream cheese!
Tip: For extra moisture, add 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt. Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for longer!
